Effective date: July 20, 2026
Summary: PodRadar collects no data. Everything stays on your iPhone.
PodRadar does not collect, store on servers, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. It makes no network requests of its own, other than Apple's own StoreKit for processing subscriptions.
PodRadar uses Bluetooth Low Energy scanning to detect nearby devices (headphones, earbuds, trackers, and other accessories) and estimate their signal strength and approximate distance. For devices that don't broadcast a name, PodRadar may briefly connect to read the device's own advertised name (no pairing or bonding) before disconnecting immediately. This scanning and any connection happens entirely on your device — nothing about the devices around you is ever transmitted anywhere.
PodRadar requests Location access (When In Use only — never in the background) solely so that when you tap "Found it!" on a device, it can save a map pin at that spot together with an optional note you write. Location is never recorded automatically or without your action, and is never sent off your device.
Devices you've named, favorited, ignored, or saved a location for are stored only on your device (and its encrypted iCloud/local backups, managed by iOS). Deleting the app deletes this data.
Purchases and free trials are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. PodRadar never sees your payment information.
If this policy ever changes, the update will be published at this address with a new effective date.
